J.B.’s teaching philosophy is based on a holistic and individualistic approach for each student. She teaches all ages, from very young students using both Suzuki and traditional approaches, to high school, college, and adult students. J.B. works with each student to determine their goals and interests and then develops an individual plan to best meet the needs and desires of that student.
Learning to play an instrument increases one’s capacity and appreciation for beauty, intellect, history, and creativity and J.B.’s devotion and individual attention to her students allows them to feel comfortable learning and performing to the best of their ability. She encourages personal excellence in each of her students and aims for mutual respect in the teacher/student relationship.
